My most memorable photographic excursion was to Havana, Cuba, in December 2006. I ran around Havana nonstop for three days and three nights until my feet were swollen, taking thousands of photos, of which only a handful are really good. I’m practicing with the camera. I would like to return to Cuba soon.

About
I have always been a writer. When my best friend taught me how to print photos from film in the color darkroom, in pitch black darkness, I took interest in a new visual art (and came to see writing as a visual art as well, in that it conjures pictures in the readers' minds' eyes).
I became fascinated with the macro lens, because it seemed to convey the way I see the world, up close and in detail.
Now I'm taking photos of our brand new baby girl, Adela, who was born at home on April 4, 2010.
I'm in a state of perpetual wonderment. Nature is my best friend. My husband is my second best friend. Adela is my newest best friend, and we go everywhere together, because I am breast feeding.
